501 TESTED · FAMILY NIGHT
Catfish, city lights
& warm cookies.
We tried a simple three-stop night in Little Rock’s River Market—and found an easy outing we would gladly do again.SEPTEMBER 2026DOWNTOWN LITTLE ROCKPAID OUR OWN WAY

THE SHORT VERSION
One meal. One bridge. One very good ending.
We started with dinner at Flying Fish, walked toward the river, and let Junction Bridge do the rest. After dark, the River Lights and skyline reflections made downtown feel completely different from the daytime version.
Then we crossed back for warm cookies. Nothing about the night was complicated—which may be exactly why it worked so well for our family.
THE ROUTE
Three stops that belong together.

01
DINNER
Flying Fish
Casual, unfussy, and memorable before the food even arrives. The wall-to-wall Billy Bass collection gave the kids plenty to look at, and the River Market location made it an easy starting point.Check current details ↗
02
THE FREE PART
Junction Bridge after dark
The bridge is the outing. Color-changing lights, river reflections, skyline views, and plenty of room to slow down made a simple walk feel like a real downtown experience.Check current details ↗
03
THE FINISH
Insomnia Cookies
A warm cookie sandwich was more than enough to share after the walk. It is close enough to make dessert feel like the natural final stop—not another trip across town.Check current details ↗OUR CAMERA ROLL
